The biggest change is refuelling thinking. Instead of running low and finding a petrol station, you charge when the car is parked — at accommodation overnight, at a Supercharger during a stop, or at a compatible charger near where you are spending time. For most Sydney driving, the car's range comfortably covers the day, and longer NSW trips simply add a planned stop.
The second change is the drive itself. An electric car has no gears and no engine noise, which makes Sydney traffic noticeably calmer. Regenerative braking means the car begins slowing as you lift off, and most drivers come to prefer it within a day. At handover we let you feel it at low speed first.
The third change is the technology. Navigation, climate, charging and trip planning live on the central touchscreen, and the phone key replaces a traditional fob. It is a current-generation experience, and we show you the essentials before departure so the first drive is relaxed rather than experimental.
