Sydney pickup
A Sydney pickup can suit city stays, business schedules and visitors already near the centre. The exact meeting place and time are confirmed during booking.
Local coverage
Tesla hire across Greater Sydney
This page explains where a Tesla handover can be arranged across Greater Sydney. It is for people deciding between Sydney or Auburn pickup and a delivery option closer to home, work, accommodation or an agreed meeting point. Rent A Tesla hires current-generation 2026 Model Y and Model 3 vehicles, with both models normally available as equal choices. Pickup is available in Sydney and Auburn. Delivery options can be arranged across Greater Sydney, but availability, timing and the exact meeting place must be confirmed by phone. We do not publish a street address or promise an unattended collection. Call 1300 356 387 with your suburb, dates, preferred model and travel plan. If you are arriving by air, use the separate Sydney Airport collection guide because terminal timing and meeting instructions require a different process.
Collection options
Choose the handover that fits the trip
Auburn pickup
Auburn can be practical for western and inner-west travel or routes that continue beyond central Sydney. Call to arrange the collection details.
Greater Sydney delivery
Delivery options are considered by suburb, date and timing. A delivery request is not confirmed until the arrangement is agreed by phone.
Coverage by travel area
For the eastern suburbs, lower north shore, inner west and central Sydney, the best handover depends on where you are staying and where the first drive begins. A city meeting may be simpler than moving luggage across town. Share the suburb and a realistic arrival time rather than only saying Sydney.
For Parramatta, Auburn and surrounding western areas, Auburn pickup may reduce unnecessary travel before the hire begins. For the northern beaches, upper north shore, south-west or Sutherland area, ask about a Greater Sydney delivery option. We do not publish fixed delivery zones because traffic, timing and vehicle movements affect what can be arranged.
If the trip starts at Sydney Airport, terminal instructions take priority over a general suburb request. International T1 and domestic T2 or T3 arrivals use an agreed meeting process, and Rent A Tesla has no rental desk inside T1. Read the airport guide before flying.
Plan pickup around the first drive
Tell us whether the Tesla will stay in Sydney, travel to the Blue Mountains, continue north towards the Hunter or head south. The route helps frame charging guidance and handover timing. The car is presented charged, but exact charge level, payment treatment and return requirements are confirmed with the hire agreement.
The current-generation cabin uses a large central touchscreen, phone key and the Tesla app. At handover we cover basic controls, regenerative braking, charging and the latest driver assistance. Full Self-Driving (Supervised) may be available where equipped. The driver must stay alert and in control. The car is not autonomous.
Model choice, delivery and booking
Model Y offers SUV-style access and flexible luggage room for family, airport and longer-stay use. Model 3 is the sedan choice for drivers who prefer a lower profile and separate boot. Both are current-generation 2026 vehicles or newer, and both are normally available. Describe passenger and luggage needs rather than relying on a body-style label alone.
Call from 7am to 7pm, seven days. Outside those hours, leave a message or use the callback form. Insurance is included under the hire agreement; excess, bond, eligibility and conditions are confirmed by phone. There is no online price, calendar or checkout because the Tesla, dates and handover plan are confirmed directly.
