Sydney Airport Tesla collection is arranged around your flight rather than a rental counter queue. Before departure, call 1300 356 387 with the date, flight timing, terminal and preferred current-generation 2026 Model Y or Model 3. We agree on a practical meeting point and explain what to do after landing. The collection arrangement is different for the international terminal T1 and domestic terminals T2 or T3, so the terminal matters. Rent A Tesla does not operate a desk inside T1, T2 or T3, and we do not ask you to search for a generic rental bay after a flight. The Tesla is presented charged, and the exact collection charge level and charging arrangements are confirmed by phone. Allow time for identity and licence checks, the hire agreement and a proper vehicle briefing. The exact handover time depends on the agreed meeting point and whether you have driven a Tesla before.
T1, T2 and T3: what happens after landing
For an international arrival at T1, complete immigration, baggage collection and customs before moving towards the agreed public meeting point. Contact us only when you can give a reliable indication that you are ready. Flight arrival time is not the same as terminal exit time, so build that difference into the plan.
For domestic arrivals at T2 or T3, collect every bag and check flight messages before following the collection instructions agreed on the call. The domestic terminals are close but not interchangeable. If the airline changes the terminal or the flight is delayed, update us before leaving the secure area so the meeting plan can be adjusted.

Go to the meeting point confirmed for your terminal. There is no Rent A Tesla desk inside T1.

Allow time for the agreement, vehicle check, phone key, screen, charging and driver-assistance briefing.
The handover is part of the booking
A first-time Tesla driver should not be rushed away from an airport pickup. We cover starting and locking the car, selecting drive, adjusting mirrors and climate, reading the central display and understanding regenerative braking. Full Self-Driving (Supervised) may be available where equipped. The driver must stay alert and in control. The car is not autonomous. Airport roads demand particular attention to lane signs, pedestrians, buses and changing traffic, so driver assistance is never a substitute for watching the road.
Your Tesla is presented charged. The exact collection level, expected return arrangement and responsibility for charging are confirmed on the booking call and in the hire agreement. Choose the car around people and luggage
The 2026 Model Y has an SUV-style rear hatch and flexible luggage room, which can be useful for a family or several cases. The 2026 Model 3 is a lower sedan and can suit one or two travellers with a lighter load. We do not publish a universal suitcase count because bag dimensions and passenger use vary. Describe what you are bringing when you call.
Collection and drop-off are by arrangement. Pickup is also available in Sydney and Auburn, with delivery options across Greater Sydney. If an airport meeting is not the best fit for your timing, discuss those alternatives. Insurance is included under the hire agreement, with excess, bond, eligibility and conditions confirmed by phone.
